Description:

  • Isolation is a 3D platforming level designed to make the player use their surroundings to help them move forward.​

​​

The Level Design Process:

  • Creating a level that matched the overall group theme, "Travel".​

  • Designing both a successfully functional and visually appealing level.

  • Learning the "Landscape" tool in Unreal Engine 4 and incorporating it in the level. 

  • Several rounds of playtesting and revising. 

  • Incorporating feedback from the professor and fellow game design students.

  • Making sure the final polished level was functional and could not be broken by play testers'.

Assets Used:

  • "Procedural Nature Pack Vol.1" by PurePolygons.

  • "Advanced Village Pack" by Advanced Asset Packs.

  • Both can be found in the "Marketplace" section in the Epic Games Launcher.
